Chepstow locals, racecourse staff and racing fans have been gearing up for the arrival of madness to Chepstow Racecourse on June 8 by performing a special rendition of ‘Our House’.
Members of the public had some fun as they sang the tribute just one week before the racecourse is set to host the lovable ska legends when they play live on Saturday evening after racing.
With 15 top 10 UK singles including It Must Be Love, One Step Beyond and the number one hit, House of Fun, concert goers will be able to celebrate over 40 years of one of the most iconic bands after they perform live after racing around 9.15pm.
Phil Bell, Executive Director at Chepstow Racecourse, said: “It’s great to see everybody in Chepstow coming together to welcome Madness to ‘Our House’ on Saturday. What a great tribute! Their music has certainly stood the test of time and to hear one of their songs sung like this by people from all walks of life, makes you realise just how iconic they are.
“They put on an absolutely amazing performance at our sister venue, Ffos Las Racecourse, a couple of weekends ago, so we’re getting prepared for a big evening here at Chepstow! The good thing is that tickets are still available but we would urge anyone who hasn't got theirs yet, to get them today. We look forward to seeing you at ‘Our House’ on Saturday!”
