Lewis Capaldi to headline his biggest Welsh date at Chepstow Racecourse with support from Sigrid
Lewis Capaldi is set to delight 30,000 fans with a massive headline show at Chepstow Racecourse this summer.
The BRIT Award-winning singer-songwriter brings his 2023 World Tour to the Monmouthshire racecourse on Saturday July 1 for what will be his biggest ever gig in Wales.
And joining Lewis will be Norwegian singer songwriter and pop powerhouse Sigrid.

The Chepstow date is part of Lewis’ Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent World Tour which visits no fewer than 18 countries. Fans went into a frenzy to secure tickets when the tour was initially announced and earlier this month Lewis played a sold-out Cardiff International Arena.
Lewis achieved his fourth UK number one single last month with Pointless, following previous hits Someone You Loved – the UK’s most streamed song of all time – Before You Go and Forget Me. His second album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent will be released in May.
Speaking about the Chepstow date, Lewis said:“Buzzing to be coming back to Wales for what will be my biggest show there ever! We had a brilliant time in Cardiff and now I get to do it all over again outside in the sunshine.
“I can’t wait for that so get your tickets and I’ll see you in the summer.”
Since her debut album Sucker Punch Sigrid has become a global phenomenon – lighting up stages around the world with her progressive brand of synth-pop.
From winning the BBC Music Sound of 2018 to conquering Glastonbury and headlining her own sold-out tours, Sigrid’s anthems Don’t Kill My Vibe, Sucker Punch andworldwide smash hit Strangers have seen herrack up billions of streams and capture the hearts and minds of the masses. Her most recent album How To Let Go was hailed as “life-affirming” (NME) and “an impressive pop statement” (Clash) hitting the number 1 spot in her native Norway and number 2 in the UK.
Lewis Capaldi is the third headliner announced for what promises to be a weekend of very special gigs alongside Lionel Richie on Friday June 30 and George Ezra on Sunday July 2.
It is also announced today that TikTok breakthrough star and triple BRIT Awards 2023 nominee Cat Burns will be supporting George Ezra.
BRIT School alumni Cat Burns – who will perform her smash 2022 hit single Go on tomorrow night’s BRIT Awards – went from busking on London’s Southbank to becoming a TikTok sensation during lockdown, with inspiration taken from pop, gospel and guitar-led indie music.
Also joining George Ezra will be Mercury-nominated indie rockers The Big Moon. The alt-pop four-piece released their third album Here is Everything to critical acclaim last October and have dates across the UK festival calendar this summer.
Opening the night will be Limerick-based three-piece outfit Kingfishr who have quickly established themselves as one of the rising prospects in Irish music.
The weekend is presented by Chepstow Racecourse with live music promoters Live Nation and Cuffe and Taylor.

“We are also delighted Cat Burns is supporting George Ezra. Cat is a major breakthrough artist who is destined to go far and is the perfect addition to the bill alongside The Big Moon and Kingfishr. This will be a very special weekend of live music.”
Getting music fans ready to party All ‘Weekend’ Long, on Friday June 30 will be multi-award winner Lionel Richie.
Richie’s shows are world renowned for their party atmosphere, with fans set to enjoy timeless mega-hits and singalong classics such as Three Times A Lady, Truly, Say You Say Me and All Night Long. His music is part of the fabric of pop music and Richie has sold more than 125 million albums worldwide and is an Oscar, Golden Globe, and four-time Grammy Awards winner.
He will be supported by chart-topping pop trio Sugababes, the award-winning hitmaker Gabrielle and blues, soul and rock artist Kevin Davy White.
George Ezra will close the weekend with his headline show on Sunday July 2. George is one of the UK’s most acclaimed songwriters and live performers. After two blockbuster albums – Wanted On Voyage (2014) and Staying At Tamara’s (2018), both of which reached Number 1 in the UK and sold millions around the world – he released third album The Gold Rush Kid last year which once again enjoyed the Number 1 spot in the UK and includes the hit singles Anyone For You and Green Green Grass.
