RECORD CROWD SEE NATIVE RIVER CLAIM VICTORY AT CHEPSTOW
A record crowd of 11,500 packed into Chepstow Racecourse for the biggest race in Wales, the £150,000 Coral Welsh Grand National.
They were treated to a superb performance from the race winner Native River, the 11-4 favourite, who stormed to victory under champion jockey Richard Johnson.

Is Chepstow Racecourse suitable for families?
All children aged 17 and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult. As well as great horse racing this year's Welsh National has lots of added entertainment which will appeal to all ages.
Can I bring my own food?
Food and drink may not be brought onto the racecourse. There's a variety of catering units on the day for you to purchase refreshments from.
Is there seating available?
Limited seating is available in both enclosures and in all bar areas. Non of this seating is available for reservation. If you would like to reserve seating, take a look at our great value hospitality options which guarantee a reserved table for the duration of the meeting.
What happens if racing is abandoned?
Abandonment is rare and racing can take place under most conditions. However, if the meeting is abandoned before the first race, a full refund will be made. If the meeting is abandoned after the first race but before the third, a 50% refund will be made. If the meeting is abandoned after the third race, no refund will be made.
No refunds will be paid on the raceday itself. All admission tickets should be mailed to the Racecourse Office after the raceday and refunds will be dealt with via the post.
Is there a cash machine on site?
There are a number of cash machines available on-site.
Do you offer concessions?
Yes, a £5 concession is offered to Senior Citizens and Students. If you are registered disabled and require a carer, you would pay the normal admission price and your carer would enter for free. These concessions are all available upon production of valid ID.

Although there is no official dress code, our customers choose to dress for the occasion! A smart casual look is often adopted. Vests, football or rugby shirts, ripped jeans, shorts or trainers are not permitted to the Premier Enclosure, hospitality boxes or Silks Restaurant.
